What is Ibogaine?

Ibogaine is a whitish powder that is contained inside the root bark of the Tabernathe iboga shrub, found in Central West Africa, as well as in a plant called Voacanga. Ibogaine has the amazing quality of physiologically interrupting addiction by restoring addiction receptors in the brain to a “pre-addicted” state in a single medically supervised treatment. Because iboga is a psychedelic aka entheogenic plant medicine, it is not available inside the US medical system. Over the years thousands of people have ended their addiction and redeemed their lives with the help of ibogaine or other plant medicines by traveling to Mexico or Canada or other parts of the world where it is legal or semi-legal.

More about Awake.net's Mission to End Addiction

At Awake.net our non-profit goal is called 10,000 Rebirths to raise $100 million to fund 10,000 individual ibogaine treatments for addiction using the medical tourism model. Please DONATE HERE if so inspired. We are also growing a community of mentors and masters on our platform who can raise awareness about entheogenic plant medicines and complementary modalities and their power to heal and awaken and offer a model for actually helping the individual to find his or her way back to a fruitful life.

It takes a village, as they say.
